appears at Vivian's funeral, the family re-embraces her and no one is
the wiser. Joanna quickly begins to uncover dark secrets and clues about
why Vivian's life was very much in danger. At the same time, she
rekindles an old romantic relationship and rediscovers the allure of the
luxurious lifestyle she once knew. She's about to see once again just
how the other half lives... and dies.

Every week we will find new secrets about the family (Arrow) and the duplicitous goings on behind the scenes (shades of Downton Abbey). I like Victor Garber who is cast as Robert Bowers the family patriarch but there is nothing new here. Didn't Glenn Close play the same role in Damages? I guess if you are a fan on this genre you may find someone here interesting enough to keep you interested but I keep hoping for something more original but not sure it will be found here. Wait, Meagan Good is a black lead so there is something new and different here after all. Hollywood must believe we are all simple minded.
Deception the new television show starting January 7 staring Meagan Good is going to be a classic mystery in the future. The storyline starts with Vivian Bowers, a woman who is part of a rich, sneaky family gets killed apparently by a drug overdose. Joanna, who is apart of the SFPD heres the news and sees the pictures of the bruises when Vivian is dead, she can only think that she was murdered. Now, Joanna goes under cover as a regular woman and stays with the Bowers family wearing a wire so her partner can listen in and get hints. She learns the Bowers have a family full of suspects, and will not give up till she finds out who murdered Vivian Bowers, Joanna's best friend. I just finished the pilot thinking I would know who it is, but right now I am spinning and suspecting everyone. Even I was at the set and was able to see further parts, but I still can't point it out. Watch Deception now at NBC.com and suspect everyone.
