The Mindy Project Season 1 Episode 12 Hooking Up Is Hard preview

The Mindy Project Season 1 Episode 12 Hooking Up Is Hard preview I must admit, when I originally started to watch the show I had low expectations. Mainly because though I'd previously enjoyed Mindy Kaling's portrayal of Kelly Kapoor on The Office (US), I'd seen characters who are hilarious in supporting roles not be able to translate that humor into an entire show based around them as the lead character... I'm looking at you cast of Seinfeld. However, I was pleasantly surprised to be completely wrong in this case.

This really is a great show that doesn't take itself to seriously. Also, I thoroughly enjoy the soundtrack. But the dialogue is where it's at... I'm actively working to make my friends converts for the show so I can start quoting it more... "We get it, you're smarter than us because you read the newspaper" -- it's like Mindy read my mind, people who read the news are just the worst, surpassed only by morning people.

This show is funny and relatable but there are already many stupidly over the top shows on television. Not that this is a stupid show, YET. This is funny but it's touching the line of becoming stupid, far from reality, and will leave viewers rolling there eyes at some scenes and saying "Yeah right" like that will really happen. I can't tell you how many times I have wished and wanted a romance like the ones in romance movies. So the fact that this show has taken that route is genius.

This show could be a romantic comedy movie but as a show. I love the fact that she is of another race, she is dark skinned plus she's not skinny. That alone shows there are many different women in all shapes and sizes. We already know that eventually she will wind up with that doctor she doesn't get along with but she needs more choices of men on the show. It was funny how at the end of the first episode she invites the guy over to sleep with him although she's not with him. There are so many women who fall into that temptation and when she took a picture of him and wrote under it "I did not do this" is so like what people really do today. It's like the episodes ugly Betty was missing. Writers need to keep this show on a serious, because she is a doctor or nurse, but funny note. Most comedies that are over the top dealing with serious occupations don't last long when in the show they take their occupation as a joke. Let's keep this show a romantic comedy and it will go far. I can see this lasting about 5 seasons or more if it doesn't become stupid.

This was recommended because I liked girls. This show is so far from girls, the characters are more annoying than mosquitos, the writing is vapid, the plot lines and jokes have been done over and over again in television. Unbelievably unoriginal and unexciting. Artificial. Mindy's work on the office this would not be as popular. Really disappointed I think most its got as high ratings as it does because the people that hate it don't review and rate it on here. Nothing much to say about it, acting sucks, very contrived. It's like oh poor Mindy, she's a good friend, she's a good that, I don't feel the heart in it.. Would like it if I was on drugs I'd hoped.
