Harry Hill has saved the show to some extent by removing the studio element and making a commentary that is nearly always far more entertaining than the clips themselves. There is a definite limit however on the amount of fun that can be got from people falling off swings, getting hit in the groin, dancing embarrassingly at weddings until their trousers fall down, etc. etc. The only clips with any real laughter value are those involving animals as these are generally less set-up. Sadly the number of these is outweighed by spoilt children crying about unwanted Christmas presents or just babies smiling at the camera (side-splittingly hilarious I don't think).
The clips remain the same and are often repeated from many series ago. I noticed they have even started blanking out the year when it appears on the camcorder display, probably because they are too ashamed to admit they came from the late 80's/early 90's. As it is far too many of them are set up and it is tiresomely obvious. You only need to stop and think why somebody would actually be filming that event to spot them.
Harry Hill is wasted here and should concentrate on other projects such as TV Burp which is excellent, indeed the Christmas special was one of the few highlights of the seasonal schedule.
You've Been Framed is a British television show
where viewers send in humorous home videos. It is currently narrated by
the comedian Harry Hill. During the show, the video clips are played and
the people who sent them in receive £250. Before the advert break a
"What Happens Next?" competition, where the viewers have to guess what
happens after a clip is frozen, or "Framed Gold Records" competition,
where viewers have to guess how many times something can happen before
something else happens (for example, how many people can fall over
before a dog gets through a very tight space), is played. The answer is
revealed after the break.

"You've Been Framed" should have been killed off many years ago when
Jeremy Beadle left. Lisa Riley and Johnathan 'I'm mates with Robbie
Williams' Wilkes really drove it to rock bottom with increased
unnecessary presenting from the studio with incredibly corny jokes.
