Redneck Island is a reality-competition series which began airing on June 9, 2012. Hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin, the show strands a group of "rednecks" on a deserted island where they compete for food and immunity, much like the CBS series Survivor. All of the contestants hail from Southern, mostly rural communities, hence the proud identification of "redneck." Players compete in two teams each week, with the losing group voting one of their players out at Steve's Place with a "beer ballot."
