Watch Gent vs Standard Liege Line-Ups, Preview, Picks 19th January 2013

Watch Gent vs Standard Liege Line-Ups, Preview, Picks 19th January 2013 Gent ended the regular season with a defeat away to Genk with the score of 3-1, and they start the playoffs on the third position, being six points away from top placed Anderlecht. Their main goal according to their coach Solint is the participation in Europa League for next season, while their hidden desire is to participate in qualifying for the Champions League through the second position. In the playoffs anything is possible, even the difference of six points from Anderlecht is unlikely to be rotten, so we still have a lot of action in front of us. Midfielder Christophe Lepoint and substitute striker Soumahoro Yaya are both still out for Gent, while winger Yassine El Ghanassy, main left-back Remy Mareval and main striker Mboyo are back to main eleven. Gent will be lined up with 4-3-3, and the offensive trio will be composed by Coulibaly, Ljubijankic and Mboyo.
Standard Liege won away to Mechelen with a score of 1-2 in the last game of the regular season, and through the fourth position is now competing to playoffs I. The participation in the playoffs should be considered as a success, as they had a strange season with lot of changes, and now they should try their best, taking advantage that they are to the best period of the season with no more important problems to solve. We should not forget that their team at the start of the season consisted of too many newcomers players, and that they gave so many matches this season in Europa League. It is very important for Standard Liege to start with a victory and they are 100% focused now on the match against Gent, after finishing with Europa League duties. Defender Lauren Ciman, striker Cyriac (6 goals), midfielder Nacho Gonzalez, and stoppers Kanu, are all out, while main left-back Sebastien Pocognoli and main striker Tchite (8 goals) are both back to main eleven. Standard is expected to line up with 4-4-2, with Tchite and Batshuayi in front line, something like the good old Standard with a more solid defense.
Odds are not showing the reality here, Gent is not better team than Standard at the moment. Gent is still lacking of a good defensive line, they receiving goals with ease, had a bad game away to Genk, while Standar Liege are now focused totally to play offs after their Europa League exit, and they have Tchite back to main eleven to the ideal time.
