8 Out Of 10 Cats Season 15 Episode 2 review This comedy quiz show is kind of a spin-off of Have I Got News For You,
but it also twists with Family Fortunes. But it is still a very good
comedy programme never the less. Jimmy Carr as always uses his clever
comedy as well as asking the questions and adding the gags. Dave Spikey
and Sean Lock as the team captains are always good for a laugh as well.
They always have really good guests on the show as well. They have had
Richard Madeley, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, David Walliams, Alan Carr,
Eamonn Holmes, Sue Perkins, June Sarpong, Peter Serafinowicz, Corrie's
Debra Stephenson, Frankie Boyle, Iain Lee, Rob Rouse, Trisha Goddard,
Patrick McGuinness, Janet Street-Porter, Johnny Vegas, Vic Reeves,
Ulrika Johnson, Phil Jupitus, Jeremy Edwards, Big Brother contestants
Victor Ebuwa, Jade Goody, Michelle Bass, Nick Bateman, Kemal Shahin,
Maxwell Ward, Chantelle Houghton, Nadia Almada, Eugene Sully, Shahbaz
Chauhdry, Mikey Dalton, Grace Adams-Short, Lea Walker, Zoƫ Ball,
Corrie's Sally Lindsay, Ben Miller, Les Dennis, Dom Joly, David Gest
and many more. It is clever, funny and with interesting for facts,
probably better than Have I Got News for You! Very good!
8 Out of 10 Cats' has some really funny moments (mostly due to Jimmy
Carr) and is a really good panel show, but ruined due to some of its
guests, such as too many 'Big Brother' contestants.
Hosted by Jimmy Carr, who is one of the funniest men around and team captains consist of Sean Lock and Jason Manford (the latter taking over from Dave Spikey). These two comedians are top quality and so are some guests, such as Frankie Boyle, yet people like Nikki Graham who was annoying in the Big Brother house, will also get on your nerves on this show.
Perhaps the best part in the show is at the beginning where Jimmy Carr comes on and says "Hello and Welcome to 8 out of 10 cats, a show about opinion polls, surveys and statistics. Did you know for example..." and then say something really funny like "Did you know that the largest dog population is in Rome. You know what Rome needs, a Korean Pope" "Did you know that Kuwala Bears are asleep 80% of the time, so just keep the noise down a bit please" "Did you know that the president of Brunei, the richest man in the world has 200 lavatories in his own personal palace. Must be all that foreign food" "Did you know that 80% of your poo is water, saying when i'm thirsty, I tend to drink a diet coke" The show has had some great moments and some infamous ones also, for example, when Bill Oddie admitted he wants to shag his daughters friends...
8 out of 10 cats is a game show in which two teams answer questions linked to opinion polls answered for by the general British public. Hosted by the terrific Jimmy Carr, it features Sean Lock and Dave Spikey (both also brilliant) as the team captains, and a host of famous faces to be the other team members. The comedy comes thick and fast, especially from Lock and Spikey, with regular quips from the guests, most of which are surprisingly funny! With a host like Carr, and team captains who know what they're doing, this programme is an absolute treat and should not be missed.
This programme has become one of my favourite comedy game shows, up there with Have I Got News For You, Shooting Stars, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Don't Miss!
